Great percussion – 1967

The ancestor of the great percussion is the « echo-grid »that the BASCHET brothers used to place on a piano, and then on a bladder.

The keyboard is organised from left to right according to the natural evolution of frequencies (from low to high-pitched).  The long straight rods give deep, very resonant sounds.

This layout marks the first classical evolution in the making of percussive structures. (dim. 150 x 150 x 180)
