5 octaves concert Cristal – 2000

This Cristal of a range of 5 octaves is developped in 2000 for Miss Ingeborg STEIN

The turn of the century brings a new beaming to the BASCHET works, the BASCHET Cristal  becoming one of the rare acoustic instruments invented in the 20th century.

At the time,  Bernard and François BASCHET are appealed to by a third generation of Cristallists.  The fundamental research lead then brings a greater sensitivity in the high-pitched sounds and an extensive bass draw stop.  It will result in the creation in 2001 of a second generation of Bass Cristal.

This study model marks an important stage in the life of the BASCHET Cristal since it appears with the opening of Cristal classes at the National Schools of French Music (Albi, Brive-La-Gaillarde). (dim. 180 x 100 x 120)
Private collection M. Deneuve.
