3 and a half octaves study Cristal (1977/2000)

Description :
This range is one of Michel DENEUVE's first concert Cristal, developped since 1977 on the base of Yvonne LASRY's Cristal : extension of the range, chromatic organisation of the keyboard arranged horizontally and not vertically.
This basis will be the subject of new studies resulting in a transitory model introducing a double frame for the high-pitched draw stop and notably exhibited at the Cité de la Musique in Paris. The space between the Cristal rods remains at 25 mm.
Musicians appealed to Bernard BASCHET to create a device that will muffle the sound of the metal sheet, brilliantly perfected by Alain DUMONT, then Bernard BASCHET's assistant.
From then on, in terms of fabrication, we have a reduction of the 5 octaves concert Cristal. The opening of Cristal classes at the National Schools of French Music (Albi, Brive-La-Gaillarde) and private lessons have made it necessary to stabilize the study model in the year 2000.
